At the Journal-Eureka I was a full-time reporter covering every beat across the small towns of northeastern Iowa. It was here that I became an award-winning journalist, my piece “I Can’t Believe How Fast it Came Up” won Third Place in Breaking News Coverage at the Iowa Newspaper Association Awards.
